Ann & Keith

Moving on from the last post, where I took a day trip to Scarborough for the day with Mels parents, I actually took a few shots of them during the day. Trying as hard as possible for them not to notice me most of the time, because they are camera shy, especially Keith. I would say most of the shots were probably screwed up faces and frowning at me through the lens....hoping they don't end up being photographed, unlucky for them then, as I got a few decent shots that I can share.

They had me dodging in and out or trees/grass and all sorts to get just one shot. It was worth it in the end anyway.

I definitely think next time will be much easier for them, after they see some of the shots I got of them. I thought I would share some of them with you on here.

Wedding Details

Weddings are amazing days. Only getting married in December myself, I found that throughout the day, even though a lot happened, the emotions and happiness that flows through not just yourself, but everyone, is like magic.

For a photographer, it is their job to capture the joy and emotion through the day. Some say this is the easier part of the day and the technical part is the most challanging.

But many forget that for about a year before, there was a lot of planning and shouting discussions leading up to the big day. Flowers, rings, earings, shoes, bracelets, hair, makeup etc all needs planning, and its these little details that make a wedding so special for the bride and groom.

The photographers job is to capture these small parts of the day, so that for years to come, the bride and groom can look back and remember every part of the day.

Family Day Out

WIth a new Canon 7D camera in my bag and a 24-70mm L lens, I am back up and snapping happily away. I have been busy with plenty of things so Photography took a back seat for a little while, but I am still pushing on for portraiture practice and I got the chance two weekends ago.

It was glorious sunshine, but not ideal for portraits because it was a bit harsh. I prefer the early morning or golden hour light, it gives a bit more texture to everything.

Family portraits are great, and most families tend to forget about getting them done while the family are together. Why not get some done yourself with a memorable time having your portraits done while you go out on a family day out?

Get in touch if you might be interested.
